Portland City Hall Elopement

Portland, Maine City Hall Elopement

Jenny and Mike wanted a low key downtown city elopement in Portland, Maine. They just loved the classic and beautiful architecture of Portland City Hall. The gorgeous marble staircase was the perfect place to do some first look bride and groom photos. They celebrated after with a small intimate dinner with family and close friends at The Portland Press Hotel across the street on Exchange Street. Her stunning dress is from BHLD.

“The favors and decorations were all DIY. We wanted a small, intimate yet unique and non traditional ceremony. We were engaged at cabins in the Catskills mountains during the summer when the orange tiger Lily flower is in bloom ( hence The orange tiger lillies incorporated into the arbors and other decorations) which also worked well for a fall themed wedding. I did my own makeup, hair was done by Laurel at Lavender salon in Portland.  We did a unity ceremony (during the regular ceremony) using rocks and stones from a beach in south portland (guests transferred their love and energy vibes to the rocks and we saved them).  We exchanged vow cards which we read in private when the wedding was over - sacred and shared between the both of us only. Our menu was also all vegetarian.
